This is one of the oldest and very popular art form of Odisha and West Bengal. Two Sanskrit words ‘Patta’ and ‘Chitra’ together forms the word Pattachitra.
Pattachitra is a disciplined form of art which comes with some rules and guidelines, like the use of natural colours, emphasizing on a single tone. Thus creates a definite look.
